Sexplained® Books were written by Helen J Knox, founder of Midnight Learning Ltd. For over 30 years, she specialised in the field of contraception and sexual health, as a clinical nurse specialist – teaching colleagues and the public about this specialist area of medicine. Before that, she was a District Nursing Sister, working throughout her extensive nursing career, in London, UK.

First published in 1995 and 1999 and updated recently, these books – which comprise “The Sexplained® Set” – form a complete handbook/resource kit for anyone working in influencing others about the field of contraception or sexual health, especially if they are dealing with the public.

The books are used by school teachers, doctors, nurses and youth and drugs workers – as well as parents, foster carers and other guardians of young people – as well as by individuals who are just interested in the information they contain for their own use.
